Important Information For 14-15 Year Olds
14 and 15 year olds can find it a bit difficult to find work for several reasons:
- Legal limit on working hours (work permit needed)
- Level of maturity
- Little to no work experience
- Increased competition from adults for jobs
Internship & Volunteer Opportunities
Therefore, it may become necessary to take advantage of volunteer or internship opportunities to gain valuable job experience. Try speaking to your school counselors and teachers about possible opportunities provided by your school, or district.
